On Tuesday, during the final over of Rajasthan Royals’ innings against Gujarat Titans in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Qualifier 1. There was high drama when Riyan Parag was run-out at the non-end striker’s due to a mix-up. Jos Buttler was run-out off the final delivery of RR’s 20th over. Bowled by Dayal, but it was a no ball, so new batter Ashwin faced a free hit with Riyan Parag at the other end. Dayal bowled a wide, and Parag sprinted down to the striker’s end to take strike and maximize the free hit. However, Ashwin did not leave his crease.

As Wriddhiman Saha and Yash Dayal finish a simple run-out. Parag seen frustratedly holding out his arms as Ashwin shrugged and walked away.

As he walked back to the pavillion, Parag appeared irritated.

Rajasthan Royals finished with a score of 188/6 after Ashwin scored two runs off the final delivery. Jos Buttler’s 56-ball 89 and Sanju Samson’s 26-ball 47 fueled their innings. Devdutt Padikkal chipped in with a 20-ball 28.

Despite Trent Boult dismissing Wriddhiman Saha in the first over, the target was not nearly big enough, as Gujarat Titans never looked in trouble in their chase.

Shubman Gill provided early impetus, hitting 35 off 21 balls. The young opener appear to be in fine form, but his innings was cut short by a mix-up with Matthew Wade, which resulted in a run-out.

Wade hit a 35-yard home run off Obed McCoy.

Then, in their debut IPL season, Hardik Pandya and David Miller put on a 106-run partnership in exactly 10 overs to guide the Titans to the final.

While Hardik was the aggressor at first, Miller took over once he settled in and finished with an unbeaten 68 off 38 balls, including three back-to-back sixes off Prasidh Krishna in the final over to seal the victory, with the Titans needing 16 off the final six balls.

Hardik was still not out on 40 off 27.
