In October, Stephen Fry will become the next President of Marylebone Cricket Club. MCC’s next president will be Stephen Fry, who will succeed Clare Connor.
After nominate by the current President, Clare Connor, English actor and comedian Stephen Fry has been confirm as the next Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) President. Fry is expect to take over the position on October 1. The decision approved by the club’s general meeting on May 4. (Wednesday).
Fry is a multi-talented individual who has worked as a screenwriter, author, playwright, journalist, poet. Television presenter, and film director in addition to being a comedian and actor. His enthusiasm for the game demonstrate last year when he became only the second non-cricketer to be invited to deliver the 20th MCC Cowdrey Lecture in November 2021. The 64-year-old has been a member of MCC since 2011, and he express his delight at being confirm for the role.
