Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami rise in the ICC Women’s ODIs Rankings. Mithali Raj recently hit a half-century in India’s final World Cup league match. Meanwhile, Jhulan Goswami rank tenth among bowlers.

In the latest ICC Women’s ODI rankings released on Tuesday. India skipper Mithali Raj climb two places to sixth, while veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami climbed two spots to fifth. Raj surpassed Australia’s Rachael Haynes and England’s Tammy Beaumont by scoring a half-century in India’s final league match against South Africa on Sunday. The match, however, end in heartbreak for India’s captain, as her team eliminated from the World Cup in a last-ball thriller.

Smriti Mandhana, the star opener who scored 71 runs against South Africa, rank ten.

Goswami, who did not play against the Proteas, moved up to fifth in the bowlers’ chart, passing the South African duo of Marizanne Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka.

She did, however, lose her ninth-place finish in the all-rounders list to Katherine Brunt of England.

Goswami is now ranked 10th with 217 rating points, while compatriot Deepti Sharma is ranked seventh.

South Africa opener Laura Wolvaardt, who has scored the most runs (433) in the ongoing World Cup, has moved up two places, passing the Australian duo of Alyssa Heau and Beth Mooney to take the top spot.
