IPL 2022: CSK vs KKR

The two players have performed admirably in their recent assignments, and they are held in high regard. Notably, Shreyas has experience in the leadership role, having twice led the DC to the playoffs. In terms of Jadeja, his captaincy abilities have yet to be tested. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the new role.

Both teams have some unavailability issues when it comes to the team combination. While CSK will be without Moeen Ali and Deepak Chahar for various reasons. KKR will be without the Australian duo of Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch, who are expected to return only in the third week of the competition.

However, both teams still have a plethora of potent options in their ranks to assemble a formidable playing XI. When it comes to CSK, Devon Conway will team up with last season’s orange cap winner Ruturaj Gaikwad at the helm. With Dhoni, Jadeja, Robin Uthappa, and Ambati Rayudu in the ranks, the middle-order would look very familiar. In terms of bowlers, New Zealand pacer Adam Milne is expected to be among the regulars.

Ajinkya Rahane, on the other hand, will get a chance for KKR, at least until Finch returns. With skipper Shreyas Gopal, Sam Billings, and Nitish Rana in the ranks, the middle order appears to be quite formidable. While Andre Russell and Sunil Narine are the team’s key all-rounders, Shivam Mavi and Tim Southee will team up in the bowling attack.
