Avesh, a Madhya Pradesh-born pacer, recently made IPL history when he was purchased by LSG for a whopping INR 10 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction, making him the most expensive uncapped player of all time in the cash-rich T20 league.
The 25-year-old entered the auction with a starting bid of INR 20 lakh and earned more than 25 times that amount. Notably, Krishnappa Gowtham previously held the record, and he will now be his teammate in the upcoming IPL season. Chennai Super Kings paid a total of INR 9.25 crore for Gowtham’s services in the 2021 IPL auction.
When it comes to Avesh’s IPL statistics, the right-arm pacer has played a total of 25 matches and has taken 29 wickets at an average of 25.83. He has an economy rate of 8.23, but he is a genuine wicket-taker for his team.
After making his debut for the RCB in 2017, the 25-year-old has been a regular in the IPL. His breakout season came last year, when he took 24 wickets in 16 matches for the Delhi Capitals at an average of 18.75.
