ICC Rankings: Jasprit Bumrah risen to fourth place in the Test Bowling Rankings. Following a stellar performance with the ball in the series against Sri Lanka. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah has risen to fourth in the ICC Test Rankings. While Virat Kohli has dropped to ninth in the batting rankings.

Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah jumped six spots to fourth in the latest ICC rankings. Released on Wednesday, following his maiden Test five-wicket haul at home, while struggling star batter Virat Kohli slipped to ninth. Bumrah surpassed Shaheen Afridi, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee, James Anderson, Neil Wagner, and Josh Hazlewood in the Test bowler rankings after returning with eight wickets in the Day/Night second Test against SL in Bengaluru.

Former captain Kohli, who continued to struggle with the bat and was unable to convert his starts, fell four places but remained in the top-10, just ahead of Rishabh Pant, who remained static at tenth.

Kohli scored 45 in the first Test in Mohali, followed by 23 and 13 in the second. He hasn’t scored a century since his 136 against Bangladesh in November of this year.

ICC Rankings: Test Bowling Rankings.

India captain Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, remained in sixth place to remain the best-placed Indian in the batting charts.

The in-form Shreyas Iyer was rewarded for his match-winning 92 and 67 against Sri Lanka by advancing 40 spots to 37th in the batting rankings.

After a valiant 107 in the second innings in Bangalore, Sri Lanka Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne climbed to a career high of No. 3.

In the all-rounders table, Ravindra Jadeaja was pushed out of first place by West Indies’ Jason Holder, who reclaimed the top spot.

Jadeja had risen to No. 1 following his 175-not-out performance and nine wickets in the Mohali Test earlier this month.

Ravichandran Ashwin, Shakib Al Hasan, and Ben Stokes completed the top five all-rounder rankings.

Mohammed Shami climbed one spot in the bowlers’ rankings to replace fellow countryman Ravindra Jadeja in 17th place. Pat Cummins, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Kagiso Rabada have retained their top three bowling positions.
