Ramiz Raja wants the PSL to adopt auction model

“This is a money game. Our respect will grow as Pakistan’s cricket economy grows. The PSL is the primary driver of that financial economy. If we move the PSL to an auction model and increase the purse, I’ll include it in the IPL bracket. Then we’ll see who chooses the IPL over the PSL.”

Last month, Lahore Qalandars won their first Pakistan Super League title after defeating Multan Sultans in the final.

Mohammad Hafeez shone for Lahore. Scoring a valiant 46-ball 69 to help Qalandars reach 180 for five after winning the toss and batting in front of a raucous 30,000-strong crowd at Gaddafi Stadium.

Qalandars, the league’s perpetual wooden spoon (finishing last in the first four editions before reaching the final in 2020), completed the set of winners. The league has now been won by all six teams.
