Authorities are believe to have identified the MCA ground in suburban Bandra Kurla Complex, the MCA ground in Thane. The Dr DY Patil University ground and a football pitch. The Maharashtra government met with the BCCI and the MCA on Wednesday in South Mumbai. To discuss the smooth operation of the IPL, which is now a 10-team affair.

The meeting attended by state government ministers Aaditya Thackeray and Eknath Shinde. As well as MCA chief Vijay Patil and apex council members Ajinkya Naik and Abhay Hadap, and treasurer Jagdish Achrekar.

Following the meeting, Aaditya Thackeray stated in a series of tweets. “To ensure the smooth flow of the @IPL, Minister @mieknathshinde ji and I conducted a joint meeting of the IPL, @BCCI with officers of the Police and Municipal Corporations of Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai.” He also stated that the state’s deputy Chief Minister would hold a similar meeting soon for Pune, the other IPL venue.

“The meeting for Pune will be held soon, propose to be chaire by DCM sir to ensure that the tournament is successfully carried out in all our city venues,” said Aaditya, the son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

It is also learn that the players will be quarantine for 3-5 days before entering their respective bubbles.

If the quarantine is for three days, the participants will be test every day, and if all three results are negative, they will allow to leave the quarantine and begin team activities.

It is also understood that all IPL participants/personnel (bubble/non-bubble) will be subject to RT PCR testing every three to five days for the duration of the tournament.

IPL teams will begin training in mid-March.

While ten opulent hotels have been identified in Mumbai, only two have been identified in Pune.

Regarding the broadcast/production crew, there will be a total of three crews covering the IPL, with two crews based in Mumbai and one crew based in Pune, and five hotels identified for them in both cities.

It is also learn that the teams will use a special “green corridor” to get to practice or match venues, and that they will be allowed to use the Eastern Freeway to get to Navi Mumbai or Thane from south Mumbai.

The civic authorities have also been task with “beautifying” the cities where the games will take place.

A member in attendance at the meeting stated that the venues would most likely allow a 25% crowd.

The IPL’s league stage will be held in Mumbai and Pune.

While the Wankhede Stadium and the Cricket Club of India will each host 20 matches, the DY Patil Stadium and the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Gahunje, Pune, will each host 15 games.

It is expect that double headers will be played on 12 days.
