Michael Hussey comments on CSK establishing cricket academies in Tamil Nadu. With their fourth title, Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions for IPL 2021.

Former Australian batter and CSK legend Michael Hussey overjoy to learn that the Chennai Super Kings academies will open in Tamil Nadu in a few months. CSK academy has opened two locations, one in Thoraipakkam, Chennai, and the other in Salem, to provide high-level cricket training for both boys and girls. In the coming years, the academy is also expect to expand across the state.

CSK has been one of the most successful teams in the IPL over the years, winning four championships. Except for 2020, the franchise has made the playoffs in every year it has played. The group’s owners have done an excellent job of investing in experienced heads like MS Dhoni. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the young players who are eager to compete in the IPL.

Michael Hussey state that the decision to facilitate CSK academies will bring a lot of kids into the spotlight and benefit them greatly. He hoped that the academy would be able to produce a large number of players for CSK in the future. Hussey was a member of the CSK team from its inception until 2013, when he returned in 2015. He was the franchise’s first centurion in IPL history.

Meanwhile, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan stated that the franchise has been working hard to create an excellent platform for the next generation of cricketers, and that the top-notch facilities will undoubtedly help in the long run. The summer camps at the Chennai academy are schedule to begin in April 2022.
