Yash Dhull of Delhi scored a century on his first-class debut in the ongoing Ranji Trophy Elite Group. H contest on Thursday. Dhull hit a century against Tamil Nadu in the ongoing Elite Group H match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Tamil Nadu won the toss in the ongoing match and chose to bowl first.

Dhull had previously led India to a record fifth U19 World Cup victory after the boys in blue defeated England in the final.

The Ranji Trophy would be held in two stages, with the pre-Indian Premier League (IPL) phase taking place from February 10 to March 15. The post-IPL phase would last from May 30 to June 26.

There are eight Elite Groups and one Plate Group to choose from. The Elite Groups would consist of four teams, while the Plate Group would consist of six teams. One team from each Elite Group will advance to the quarterfinals. The lowest-ranked of the eight qualified teams will face the top team from the Plate Group in a pre-quarterfinal match.
