‘Sourav Ganguly needs to come out and explain himself’- Madan Lal on the captaincy controversy involving Virat Kohli

‘Sourav Ganguly needs to come out and explain himself,’— Madan Lal

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Virat Kohli appear to be at odds with one other. While BCCI President Sourav Ganguly revealed that he had begged Kohli. Not to resign as T20I captain, Kohli, 33, came out and stated that his choice to resign as T20I captain was well appreciated.

Kohli was also relieved of his duties as India’s One-Day International captain. In the thick of it all, former Indian cricketer Madan Lal has shared his thoughts on the subject. This entire captaincy fiasco, Lal believes, should have been handled differently. Lal further stated that he is unaware of what happened between Ganguly and Kohli.

Lal, on the other hand, believes that Ganguly should come and clear the air on this issue. And provide a detailed explanation. Lal, who is 70 years old, also believes that India should concentrate on the South African tour.

“I believe this scenario should have been handled differently. Because it is not a debate but a difference of opinion.” I’m not sure what Sourav said to Virat, so I’m not going to comment.

But, as president, I believe Sourav should come out and explain himself. And that will be the end of the matter. “Right now, we need to concentrate on the South Africa tour because it is a crucial game for us,” Madan Lal told NDTV.

I’m not sure if Virat Kohli was mentioned by the selectors: Madan Lal

Madan Lal also stated that he agrees with Sunil Gavaskar’s comments and believes that Kohli should resolve his issues with the management. Lal finished by claiming that he is not sure if the selectors had actually spoken to Kohli before removing him as the ODI captain, adding that the selectors should eliminate these types of disputes.

“Gavaskar is correct in his observation. All of Virat’s complaints with the management should be resolved. This isn’t a major issue. The selectors, in my opinion, could have handled the situation better. It is the responsibility of selectors to keep an eye on and put an end to these squabbles. “I’m not sure if the selectors conferred with Virat before making their selection,” Lal said.
