CVC Sports, which has assets in UK betting organizations, is yet to receive BCCI approval to buy the Ahmedabad franchise.

CVC’s Asian funds does not have links to any betting firms: BCCI official

Regardless all the uncertainty, there appears to be a confident air of things being resolved. According to the Indian Express, the BCCI appears to have no objections about the IPL’s Ahmedabad franchise being purchased.

This is due to the fact that the Asian fund of the transnational corporation, which purchased the franchise, has no ties to any betting companies.

“There are two types of CVC funds: European funds and Asian funds. They also put money into their Asian fund. That is the agreement. Still, a Board member who attended the AGM informed The Sunday Express that the BCCI is likely to appoint a committee in a few days to be very sure.

This could, cause a delay in the 15th edition of the IPL’s planned schedule.
