Salman Butt compares India’s spin duo.

The seasoned combo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Will be expected to deliver a lot of spin in the two-match Test series.

Axar Patel, a left-arm off spinner, is also in the Indian squad and will be hoping to feature in Kanpur.

But, according to former Pakistan captain Salman Butt. Axar is not a like-for-like substitute for Jadeja right now.

“Axar Patel is a gifted batsman, but Ravindra Jadeja is a complete player who can bat, bowl, and field. He is a fantastic team player. When one player leaves, his replacement arrives, and this is what you will have in the future. You have Axar Patel if you don’t have Jadeja “Butt said.

“But, at the moment, I don’t believe they are in the same category if you believe that replacement is ready to take Jadeja’s spot. He (Axar) is a gifted player who will eventually take his spot, but I believe Jadeja is the better alternative ” He added.
