Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), accused the BJP administration of compromising on the quality of the Purvanchal Expressway in order to reduce the project’s cost and launch it before the Assembly elections to claim credit.
The SP chairman expressed regret for the Ghazipur administration’s refusal to allow his party to use the expressway on the pretext of its inauguration today, and said his party will present flowers as a symbolic gesture.

“We are pleased that the prime minister has not inaugurated any high-quality road like the one built under the Samajwadi Party’s administration,” he added, adding that they are not siding with the enterprises that were robbed of their work.
