Devon Conway, a New Zealand batsman, was ruled out of the T20 World Cup final on Thursday after breaking his right hand punching his bat during his dismissal in the semi-final win over England. Conway will miss the upcoming tour of India as well as the title match against Australia on Sunday in Dubai. Conway was out stumped by Jos Buttler off Liam Livingstone for 46 runs before his team won by five wickets in the semi-final on Wednesday.
Coach Gary Stead remarked, “He’s really gutted to be ruled out like this at this time.”
