Tim Southee, a Black Caps pacer, said on Tuesday that his squad will have to adjust to the daytime playing circumstances when they face Scotland in a Super 12 match in Dubai on Wednesday.

After losing to Pakistan in the tournament opener, New Zealand bounced back with a win over India last weekend.

Tim Southee, a Black Caps pacer, said on Tuesday that his squad will have to adjust to the daytime playing circumstances when they face Scotland in a Super 12 match in Dubai on Wednesday.

“It’s not only an opponent we don’t know much about and don’t get to play against all that frequently,” Southee told reporters on Tuesday. “It’s also a day game (after) the first two were night games.”

“We’ll have to adjust to it as well, but we’ve already had our scouting meetings.” Obviously, there is no dew element, as there appears to be in the night games here at the present.

“So it’s just a matter of trying to adjust to the environment and emerge as quickly as possible,” says the narrator.

Scotland made it to the Super 12 after storming through the group rounds, but they enter the contest having lost back-to-back matches to Afghanistan and Namibia, leaving them bottom of Group II and forcing some soul-searching among the squad.
