Since losing to Juventus in September, Tuchel’s team has gone undefeated in six games. They thrashed Malmo 4-0 at Stamford Bridge during that stretch.
Tuchel remarked at his pre-match press conference on Monday, “We are in a good spot.” “We know what it takes to get these kinds of results, and we know how much effort we put in.”
“At the same time, we set the standards that we set in every match, so we start from the beginning tomorrow.”
The German stated that the meeting in Sweden will be his team’s “fifth or sixth game in a straight” in which they are considered favorites.
“I appreciate how my team tackles these matches because we put in a lot of effort and intensity and don’t focus too much on the popular perception that we are the favorites, but we proved our case on the pitch, which is crucial tomorrow.”
Tuchel, on the other hand, warned that a winless Malmo team may be dangerous because they would have nothing to lose and would be able to play freely.
“Malmo may require an exceptional performance, for which they will prepare,” he said.
