A former Maharashtra minister, Anil Deshmukh had previously ignored at least five summonses issued by the agency and had also petitioned the Bombay High Court to have these summonses quashed.
After questioning him for over 12 hours at its office, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Anil Deshmukh, the former Maharashtra Home Minister, in connection with a money laundering and corruption investigation against him.
