According to his relative and actor Y. Rajinikanth is fine and resting: “He’s resting at the hospital right now,” Y. Gee Mahendran told the media after visiting Rajinikanth at the hospital. I’m not sure what kind of treatment he’s getting, but he seems to be doing OK.

“I dedicate this award to my guru and mentor K Balachander sir, whom I remember with respect,” Rajinikanth remarked after receiving the renowned Dada Saheb Phalke award. He instilled spirituality in me and raised me with high ideals.”
Rajinikanth also paid tribute to his best buddy Raj Bahadur, who was the first person in his life to recognize his acting abilities. He also expressed his gratitude to all of his producers, directors, technicians, and fans for their unwavering love and support.
