On Thursday, cricket fans were treated to a rare treat as David Warner finally found his form with the bat, guiding Australia to a 7-wicket victory against Sri Lanka in their Super 12 encounter at the ICC T20 World Cup in Dubai.
The left-hander, who had scored single digits in his previous four innings for. Australia, slammed 65 off 42 balls with 10 fours to lead the team to victory.

His 70-run opening stand with captain Aaron Finch provided a good framework for the chase before. Steve Smith came in and contributed another 50 runs for the third wicket with Warner to help the Aussies get closer to the finish line.
Warner was bowled in the 15th over against the run of play, but the damage had already been done. Smith and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis put the final touches on the game, which they won by 18 runs.
Smith stayed unbeaten on 28 runs, while Stoinis smashed a quickfire 16 not out off only seven balls. Lanka’s outstanding bowler, Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva, took two wickets, while skipper Dasun Shanaka took one albeit in a losing cause.
