The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee will hold nationwide protests.

The Assam Pradesh Congress, On October 21, the APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) will organize a nationwide demonstration against what the APCC claims is the state government’s inability to keep pledges made to the people of the state before to the Assembly elections.

JORHAT: The APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) will stage a statewide protest programme on October 21 against what the APCC alleges as the failure on the part of the state government to keep their promises made to the people in the state before the Assembly polls.

In addition to the poll-bound five Assembly constituencies of Thowra, Mariani, Bhabanipur, Tamulpur, and Gossaigaon, the APCC has stated that their party workers will hold rallies in every district across the state. On October 30, by-elections for the five Assembly constituencies will be held.

The Assam Pradesh Congress, “The BJP leaders made five major promises to the people of the. State when campaigning during the recent Assembly polls,” Jorhat APCC working president. Rana Goswami said at a press conference on Sunday. As a result, the people of Assam chose the BJP as their party of choice. However, they have failed to keep their commitments since taking office.

We have loudly criticised the faults of this government and have chosen to stage a nationwide demonstration in response.” Goswami went on to say that “The Congress will win the three seats of Thowra, Mariani, and Gossaigaon in the upcoming by-elections, while fighting hard in the remaining two.
