Amit Shah will do an aerial survey “He (Amit Shah) was informed about the damage inflicted by the natural calamity in the previous two days after his (Amit Shah’s) arrival in Uttarakhand at midnight,” Uttarakhand chief minister Dhami tweeted.
Since Sunday, 52 people have died as a result of flooding triggered by relentless rain. Nainital was responsible for 28 of the total deaths.
On Wednesday morning, the weather in Uttarakhand improved, as the sun rose in Nainital without a drop of rain.
Because of landslide-prone zones in some areas, the Haldwani-Nainital national route is only open to light vehicles.
Amit Shah will do an aerial survey: The NDRF has deployed seventeen units across Uttarakhand.
“To date, NDRF personnel have rescued about 1,300 people stranded in Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital.” They’re also giving emergency supplies in Uttarakhand’s flood-affected areas, according to a spokeswoman.
Udham Singh Nagar has six NDRF teams, Uttarkashi and Chamoli each have two, and Dehradun, Champawat, Pithoragarh, and Haridwar each have one.
On Wednesday, as the weather improved, state government officials allowed the stranded pilgrims to travel to the Chardham pilgrimage sites of Kedarnath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri.
