Virat Kohli enters the field with his heart on his sleeve, no matter what format he plays in. The Indian and former captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is not afraid to express his emotions on the cricket pitch.
Familiar scenes were seen in his last game as captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when Kohli had a lively exchange with Onfield referee Virender Sharma. Virender Sharma had made some decisions against RCB that were overturned and Kohli expressed his frustration to the officer.
After the game, RCB took to Twitter to post a video sharing post-game scenes from the locker room.
After praising his patron. The South African hitter joked that umpires can now breathe a sigh of relief. That Kohli will not lead the team.
The video showed AB de Villiers taunting Virat Kohli after his last match as captain in the T20 league.
“I think some of the umpires will sleep a bit better. I am very happy for them,” de Villiers said
The South African star hitter congratulated Kohli on his tenure as captain. And said he is eager to win trophies for India and RCB.
“Congrats on a great captaincy career. I can’t wait to watch you run out there with all the freedom and win the first trophy for us (RCB). And more trophies for India,” AB de Villiers concluded.
