In the final group match of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI) starter Ishan Kishan went berserk against the SunRisers Hyderabad. MI were in an unlikely position to make the playoffs, needing to beat SRH by at least 170 runs, but Ishan and later Suryakumar Yadav pushed MI to their best-ever T20I performance.
“The message was clear: simply enter and play our game. We knew we needed a score of 250 or above.
It wasn’t easy, but the strategy was simple, and we executed it well. Now it’s time to focus on the bowling “During the mid-innings break, he stated.

Ishan Kishan was unbeaten on 50 in his most recent bout and believes that his promotion to the top of the order has helped him.
“When you open the innings for the team, it makes a significant impact. He was certain from the first ball that the intent was evident. I just wanted to sit back and watch the ball while making my shots. I know I can play anywhere if there are options available to me, so it was just a matter of setting aside time for two or three balls and then playing my game “he stated.
