

In the IPL 2021 Playoffs, On Monday, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator, while Chennai Super Kings will face Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier on Sunday. Despite a brave effort on the final matchday of the league stages, Mumbai Indians were unable to qualify for the play-offs.

Despite defeating SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 42 runs, Mumbai Indians’ (MI) Indian Premier League (IPL) title defense came to a sudden end on Friday. While MI set a new T20 record, they needed to beat SRH by at least 171 runs to overtake Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
After an 86-run win against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, KKR’s net run rate was +0.587, while MI’s NRR was -0.048 before the start of their match against SRH. MI finished the league stage with an NRR of +0.116 and 14 points, despite their overwhelming triumph over the 2016 champions.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will now meet KKR in the Eliminator. Before the start of their match against table-toppers Delhi Capitals on Friday, RCB were third on the table with an NRR of -0.159, two points behind second-placed Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
IPL 2021: Final Points Table
In the IPL 2021 Playoffs, RCB, though, will enter the Eliminator with high confidence after defeating table-toppers Delhi on Friday. In a 165-run chase, KS Bharat scored 78 not out and secured the match with a last-ball six. Glenn Maxwell gave him good company hitting 51 not out in just 33 balls.
