Andy Flower appointed Afghanistan’s consultant for T20 World Cup

Andy Flower: Andy Flower, the former captain of Zimbabwe. Has been appointed advisor to the Afghan national team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board announced on Friday (October 9).

Flower, who coached the English team from 2009 to 2014.

And helped them lift the 2010 ICC T20 World Cup in the West Indies, has joined the Afghan cricket bubble.

“We are delighted that Andy has joined ACB. Andy has worked with a number of our players in various franchise completions. And his vast experience will be very beneficial and useful to help the team in the World Cup”. ACB chairman Azizullah Fazli said in a statement.

The national cricket team left Kabul for Qatar on October 6. And is then supposed to arrive in the United Arab Emirates. To participate in the World Cup.

Mohammed Nabi, who will captain the Afghanistan team at the ICC event. Said: “The team has started training in Qatar to adjust to the weather. They are waiting for the UAE visas and everyone is preparing for the World Cup.”
