Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif believes that Virat Kohli is like legendary Sachin Tendulkar

Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif claims: The debate between Kohli and Tendulkar has been going on for years and while opinions are divided on whether one is better than the other, Asif believes that the current Indian captain is nowhere near the man of 100 international centuries.

Former Pakistan speed bowler Mohammad Asif believes that while Virat Kohli is a modern grandmaster, his comparisons to the legendary Sachin Tendulkar are not valid.

Virat doesn't even come close to Sachin': Mohammad Asif claims that Babar, not Kohli, is a lot like Tendulkar | Cricket - Hindustan Times

Asif, on the other hand, believes that Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam Tendulkar, is very similar and explains the reason for his assessment.

“Kohli is a bottom-hand player. He is doing well because of his fitness and it is supporting him. The moment he will face a decline, I don’t think Kohli can make a comeback. In fact, Babar is an upper-hand player like Sachin. His bat movement is fluent like Sachin. People say Kohli is better than Tendulkar. I say no. Virat does not even come close to Sachin. This is my opinion,” Asif said

Asif had his fights against Tendulkar, the most memorable was during the 2006 India tour of Pakistan. While Asif had Tendulkar’s number in testing, the former Indian batsman topped the ODI.

Scoring a century and a 95 and in the third game of the 1st century or not is that Asif is not convinced of Kohli’s skills as a hitter. But he thinks there is a difference in the playing styles of the two sizes.

Does Virat Kohli come close to Sachin Tendulkar or Babar Azam? Ex-Pakistan pacer Mohammad Asif says THIS

Asif had his fights against Tendulkar, the most memorable was during the 2006 India tour of Pakistan. While Asif had Tendulkar’s number in testing.

The former Indian hitter topped the ODIs, scoring a century and a 95, and in the third game of the 1st century or not is that Asif is not convinced of Kohli’s skills as a hitter, but believes that the playing styles of both sizes are different.

“The way Sachin played was all upper hand and very few people know about this technique. Be it coaches or any one player. Sachin was so fluent with his cover drives, on drives pulls, and cuts. No doubt Kohli has strokes as well, but he is all bottom hand,” said the former Pakistan pacers.

Kohli is 70 international centuries-old, 30 behind Tendulkar’s 100. In ODIs, he joins Tendulkar’s centuries-long roster after achieving 43, and is just six behind his former Indian teammate.

In testing, however, Kohli has achieved 27 tons and has to catch up if he is to reach Tendulkar‘s record of 51 hundred.
