Former England captain Michael Vaughan believes India CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is the ideal T20 cricketer.
Jadeja’s all-round qualities, which include being one of the best fielders in the world. Make him an ideal template for developing a T20 player, according to Vaughan.
“He’s an incredible fielder, and he can bowl brilliant left-arm spin. If the surface has any turn, he’s as good as anyone.” Vaughan Stated.
Jadeja can obviously play the anchor position with the bat if you lose early wickets.
He can also come in with 15 balls to go and very much go on from ball one. He is the quintessential T20 cricketer ” Vaughan added.
The highlight of Jadeja’s outstanding season has been his batting in the final four overs of a match.
This season, he has played 21 balls in the last over, scoring 65 runs at a strike rate of 309.52, with three fours and seven sixes.
Vaughan stated that while Chris Gayle or Virat Kohli are excellent T20 batsmen to emulate, Jadeja is the standard for a cricketer in total.
“He’s incredible; he’s got everything.” You go for Gayle’s power or Kohli’s finesse when you’re designing a T20 cricketer or a batter.
“However, if you’re wanting to build a cricketer from the scratch, you’ll almost start with Ravindra Jadeja because he has it all,” Vaughan added.
