Mumbai Indians coach Mahela Jayawardene, backing star hitter Suryakumar Yadav ahead of MI‘s must-attend meeting with Delhi Capitals. Said the franchise was not overly concerned about Surya’s thin piece in the UAE section of the IPL 2021 mark.

The hitting was a major disappointment for the record five-time IPL champions, as Suryakumar Yadav is terribly out of shape with scores of 0, 8, 5, 3 in the UAE round.

“Surya just needs to spend some time in the middle to get his confidence back. But it’s not a huge concern. Just because we have to make a couple of changes doesn’t mean that the quality of other players is ignored. We make sure these players are fit and in balance when not playing,” Mahela Jayawardene said during the pre-match press conference.

Jayawardene believes that once Yadav spends some time in between. Yadav will regain his form.

A fighting unit of the Mumbai Indians will hope to maintain their new momentum. In the first of Saturday’s IPL doubles against DC in Sharjah.

The silver lining for the IPL heavyweights was the middle-class struggle that turned around. With Saurabh Tiwary, 45, and Hardik Pandya, 40, securing a Sixwicket win over the Punjab Kings.

Even though Kieron Pollard didn’t look down the groove with a Sevenball 15 to play the role of the runner-up. Tiwary’s determined strike would mean he would stay in his seat. And it remains to be seen if Sharma will give the stunned Ishan Kishan another chance.

In bowling, Jasprit Bumrah has consistently met and returned 10 wickets so far in the UAE stage. At a time when MI’s spinning bowling had failed.
