Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)vs MI consolidated their third place in the 2021 IPL points table after beating defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) with 54 runs at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
After being sent to the racket first, RCB bounced back early after losing Devdutt Padikkal when Virat Kohli 51, and Srikar Bharat 32, formed a 68-race partnership. After releasing him, Glenn Maxwell‘s 37-ball 56 took RCB from 20 overs to 165/6.
Rohit Sharma 43, and Quinton de Kock 24 sewing a 50-run opening stand in no time. But Mumbai collapsed under pressure and rose from 79/1 to 106/8 in just six overs. Harshal Patel (4/17) and Yuzvendra Chahal (3/11) finished MI innings with 111 all-out after 18.1 overs.

RCB wins by 54 runs after Chahal scalped Bumrah and Harshal ended the defending champions’ innings by firing Milne. What a victory! On the other hand, MI loses three games on the trot. MI: 111all out (18.1 overs)

One by one, Hardik, Pollard, and Rahul Chahar fall into the splendor of Harshal! While Kohli made a smart catch to fire Hardik (3) on the first ball of the overs, Harshal throws Pollard (7) completely and catches Rahul (0) between the wickets. And that should be the game for RCB. Mumbai now needs 60 runs on 21 balls. MI: 106/8 (16.3 above)
RCB end on 165/6, MI need 166 to win!
What a change from MI! At the end of the day, Bumrah and Boult throw two brilliant overs, demanding three terrains and accumulating only nine races. In the later part of the Kohli and Maxwell fifties, RCB finishes at 165/6 after 20 overs.
