“Not Surprised”: Kevin Pietersen’s Brutal Assessment: After SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) suffered another loss in the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, things couldn’t get any worse for David Warner. The Australian, who was stripped of the team’s leadership this year, showed a poor performance against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday and was thrown by a duck after three deliveries.
With Captain Kane Williamson winning the shot and receiving the punch, SRH was only able to score 135 for nine in 20 overs and had a major blowout collapse. Aside from the Warner Duck, Williamson was only able to collect 18 of 26 installments. Abdul Samad and Rashid Khan were the only significant contributions, scoring 28 and 22 runs respectively. DC tracked the 135-run goal with ease, scoring 139 for two in 17.5 overs. Shikhar Dhawan consolidated his position in the Orange Cap race, crushing 42 of 37 balls. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were undefeated after reaching 47 and 35 respectively.
Former cricketer Kevin Pietersen evaluated Warner’s performance and revealed that he was not surprised that the starter lost his window to Anrich Nortje. The South African pacemaker took two wickets and was also assisted by Kagiso Rabada, who recorded three layoffs.
Brutal Assessment Of David Warner’s Duck Against Delhi Capitals
“Nortje and Rabada know how to bowl to David Warner. I think Rabada has knocked him over 4-5 times already. So they know and understand how to bow to Warner. I am not surprise actually. I think this was a real tough game for Warner”, said Pietersen
